Ontogenesis by Representative I
03:00 to 04:30

Sunday March 26th, 3:00-4:30pm at MaMA (Marbletown Multi Arts) 3588 Main Street, Stone Ridge, NY.

Representative I is a performance art group influenced by the modern Japanese dance form, Butoh. The group creates performance by investigating the body as biosensor, a feeling and psychological machine capable of directly displaying environmental information. In “Ontogenesis” Representative I displays a built structural field, embodying coordinates that interplay in birth, death, and the beyond. Their choreography opens to improvisation, where the moment is displayed, revealing what exists between the audience, performer, and the space and time that it occupies. This piece will have optional audience interaction. Representative I has performed at a variety of venues including Basilica Soundscape and DroneFest, The Tarot Society, Gallery Four, TSL, LabSpace, and +Space.
