This September we are pleased to present special guest speaker and author, Lorraine Salmon.
Salmon’s candid view into falling in love, contrasted by the heartbreak of letting go, is both beautiful and devastating.
Lorraine Salmon reads about her journey from her memoir. What’s Better Than This? spans a 14-month love affair, from instant first blush that quickly escalates into a hilarious middle-aged sexy frolic, then just as quickly, blooms as a pivotal and meaningful mid-life romance before turning into a last-wishes-before-dying story which confronts readers with the questions that arise when we look death squarely in the eye.
At Death Café, the aim is to increase awareness of death to help people make the most of their finite lives. At a CFD Death Café, each conversation is preceded with a brief presentation to expand our understanding of different topics related to dying and death.
The Circle of Friends Death Café has no theme and is not a grief support group. Come mingle and enjoy our cakes, coffee, and tea. No fee, though donations for future Death Cafés are greatly appreciated. All are welcome.
