Circle of Friends for the Dying actively promotes events that give people the opportunity to explore their feelings about death—such as our monthly Circle of Friends Death Cafés—and to learn about the various issues pertaining to dying, like preparing your end-of-life directives or taking advantage of hospice when the time comes. We also sponsor events to celebrate life, such as “Circlestock”, a concert and dance party. Our inaugural event was held last year at Colony in Woodstock and pictured here.

CFD Death Café with Presentation
December 28 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
This December we will be offering a Saturday morning CFD Death Café at the Ellenville Library.
Join us (weather permitting) on Saturday, December 28 from 10am- 12pm at 40 Center Street in Ellenville, NY.
RSVP is required as a result of the unknown Hudson Valley weather. Click: RSVP
At Death Café, the aim is to increase awareness of death to help people make the most of their finite lives. At a CFD Death Café, each conversation is preceded with a brief presentation to expand our understanding of different topics related to dying and death.
The Circle of Friends Death Café has no theme and is not a grief support group. Come mingle and enjoy our cakes, coffee, and tea. No fee, though donations for future Death Cafés are greatly appreciated. All are welcome.
Let’s keep the conversation going LIKE us on Facebook!
CFD Death Café will be on winter break from January – March
